Ariel Gail
Prof. Gail S. Goodman is the Distinguished Professor of Psychology as well as director of the Center for Public Policy Research at the University of California Davis. She is widely acknowledged for her pioneering work in studying witnesses from children as well as memories of eyewitnesses in the legal setting. Professor Goodman is an prolific writer and has been awarded numerous awards and grants. She has advised numerous federal agencies and governments around the world about policies and studies related to way children are treated by the justice system. She has been a consultant with the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center which was previously known as known as the Multidisciplinary Interview Center of Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She has memberships with numerous professional organizations, like the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. Professor Goodman is also a participant in Psychonomics Society, the Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children (Founding Member) International Society for the Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect as well as the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She was the president of the American Psychological Association's Developmental Division and Division American Psychology Law Society and Division Society for Family and Child Policies and Practice.
